Adding a new dimension to DFT calculations of solids ...
WIENncm: a non-collinear magnetism version of WIEN2k
(written by Robert Laskowski )
New VERSION is out since 8. Juli 2008 !!!
It includes the improved DSTART, LAPW1 (iterative diagonalization) and MIXER
and thus should be significantly faster and more stable.
Please note: This code is much more difficult to use than the standard
WIEN2k code. Thus we expect potential users to be familiar with the physics of
non-collinear magnetism, but also about WIEN2k and
it's strategy about running the code, files, conventions,... Be aware that
SCF-convergence is much more difficult and much larger computational
ressources are needed.
Please also note that support is very limited (WIENncm comes with a small usersguide in $WIENNCM/DOC and some examples) and most likely only
the author, R.Laskowski will be able to help.
However, since he has many other
obligations, he cannot support all kind of questions. Thus I expect
that when you contact Robert for help, you give him also credit in terms
of co-authorship on the corresponding publication.
Request and Registration
WIENncm is available for registered WIEN2k users free of charge.
Just send an email requesting WIENncm together with your WIEN2k-registration ID
to pblaha@theochem.tuwien.ac.at.
(after registration, requires user-id/pw)
